Rhetoric and Professional Communication Program

Doctoral and masters students in the RPC program have a positive, enriching experience. The graduate student experience is enhanced by

  • Engaged faculty,
  • collaborative research opportunities,
  • myriad courses,
  • guided teaching opportunities, and
  • graduate student workshops.

Graduate students specialize in technical/professional communication, composition, pedagogy, or rhetoric. Graduate students develop strengths in written, oral, visual, and electronic (WOVE) communication in their coursework, research projects, and undergraduate teaching experiences. The multimodal approach adopted by the English Department creates a unique environment for graduate students to develop their professional or academic careers.
