Current RCPC MA Students


 

Bethany Burdt earned her BS in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology from Iowa State University in 2008. She worked in the human service field as a Program Supervisor for a non-profit disability organization prior to accepting a position with Iowa State University as a Trainer and Technical Writer providing learning consultation and training services to the State of Iowa’s Department of Human Services. Bethany is currently pursuing her MA in Rhetoric, Composition, and Professional Communication at Iowa State University. Her interests include tailoring training programs to appropriate learning populations, e-learning platform usability, and quantifying the effectiveness of e-learning coursework.

Katlynne Davis earned a B.A. in both English and history from the University of Wisconsin—Parkside, with a minor in French and a certificate in Professional Writing. She is currently a MA student in the Rhetoric, Composition, and Professional Communication program at ISU and teaches foundation communication courses as a T.A. for the English department. While attending the University of Wisconsin—Parkside, she worked as a writing tutor and supplemental instructor, so-executive editor of the student newspaper The Ranger News, and in several different positions over seven years at the local newspaper in Racine, Wisconsin, The Journal Times. Katlynne is interested in technical and professional communication, pedagogy, social media communication, communication and technology practices in business, and visual rhetoric. In her spare time, she likes to read about early American history and create hilarious memes.

Philippe Meister went to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for a bachelors degree in Writing and Rhetoric. He came to ISU from teaching English in China. He likes reading philosophy and critical theory, and is interested in writing and speaking to learn.
