Current MA Students


 

Caleb B. Evers is a second year M.A. student in Rhetoric, Composition, and Professional Communications. Caleb began his college career at Iowa State in 2009 as a vocal performance major in the School of Music. However, he graduated in 2014 with degrees in French, International Communications, and Speech Communications. Caleb currently serves as a graduate teaching assistant for Speech Communication 212 and represents the Department of English as a senator in the Graduate and Professions Student Senate. His research interests consider the pedagogy of speech delivery within the foundational public speaking course.

As an undergraduate in Political Science at Iowa State University, Scott Kovach was awarded the National Science Foundation’s Scholarship for Service in Information Assurance. After graduating in 2003, he has served in a variety of careers: information security consulting, tech support, quality assurance engineering, food service, construction, grocery, and retail—although not necessarily in that order. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Rhetoric, Composition, and Professional Communication at Iowa State University. His research interests integrate his background in Information Assurance with Visual Rhetoric and Rhetorical Theory.
